Radiance Films Announces Transmission, a New UK Blu-ray Imprint
Radiance Films has announced the launch of Transmission, a new UK Blu-ray imprint set to debut this November. Drawing from the world of all-night grindhouse theaters, late-night cult TV, and the heyday of VHS rental shops, Transmission is designed for fans of offbeat cinema. The label will spotlight cult classics and underappreciated genre films, inviting a new generation of viewers to discover their next obsession.
A New Imprint for Cult and Genre Cinema
Transmission marks a bold new direction for Radiance Films. The label is inspired by the scrappy energy of places like the Scala Cinema, 42nd Street grindhouses, and the tactile discovery of video stores in the 1980s and 1990s. Radiance describes the new line as focused on “offbeat cult classics and underappreciated genre filmmaking,” curating titles that deserve a second life on the shelf.
Debut Title: Night of the Juggler (1979)
The first release from Transmission is Night of the Juggler, a 1979 action-thriller directed by Robert Butler. James Brolin stars as an ex-cop whose daughter is kidnapped by a psychopath (Cliff Gorman), triggering a relentless chase through the streets of New York City. The film blends urban grit with suspense-driven pacing and features a strong supporting cast.
The Night of the Juggler Blu-ray will be released in the UK on November 17, 2025. Pre-orders for the dual format 4K UHD and Blu-ray edition go live on August 8 at 11 a.m. (UK time) via Radiance’s website.
Packaging and Special Features
This limited edition release will come in a dual-format package featuring both 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs. The film has been newly restored in 4K and will be presented in Dolby Vision HDR.
Bonus content includes:
- A 40-page booklet
